Venice Days-winner Early Winter is an Australian/Canadian relationship drama from ex-pat Michael Rowe – and it’s coming to Canberra.
“David, a man in his forties, lives a predictable life with his wife Maya and their two children. To please his wife with the latest gadgets, he works solitary shift work, days and nights, as a janitor in a retirement home and it’s here we see his enormous yet hidden compassion. But when he begins to suspect that Maya is having an affair, he starts to lose ground, his past threatening to smash everything in his path..”
Join us for the screening at 6.30pm on Wednesday, October 5, followed by an intimate post-film Q&A with the globally revered filmmaker moderated by Cris Kennedy from the National Film and Sound Archive.
